Local Care Centres
The Better Healthcare Closer to Home team is working on plans to develop four local care centres in Sutton and Merton.
Dr Martyn Wake, a local GP and Joint Medical Director for Sutton and Merton PCT, commented:
"A number of my patients go to St Helier hospital for diagnostic tests. This can cost them time and money, as they do not live near the hospital and have to travel a considerable distance to get there - often taking a day off work.
"The Local Care Centres will make it easier for local people to get the healthcare they need, closer to home".
