Welcome to the website for Better Healthcare Closer to Home, the NHS strategy for improving and modernising how health services are provided in Sutton and Merton.
 
At present, local residents in Sutton and Merton have to go to hospital for a number of services which could be provided in the community, such as diagnostic tests.  Our aim is to develop local, modern health services so people can be treated, wherever possible, closer to where they live. 

We also aim to improve and upgrade sub-standard hospital and community buildings by replacing or refurbishing worn-out estate with facilities fit for the delivery of modern healthcare.
